Maxiron 80 contains iron fully chelated with the ortho-ortho isomeric form of ethylendiamino-di (o-hydroxyphenylacetic) acid. This isomer renders the iron highly soluble and thus available to the crop, even in the case of soils with high pH values. Maxiron is essential for the treatment of iron chlorosis, especially in calcareous soils where iron salts are precipitated and locked in the soil, unavailable to the plant. Iron plays an important role in formation of the chlorophyll, the green pigment responsible for the absorption of solar radiation, powering the photosynthetic process. The ortho-ortho form of iron EDDHA is the most stable and effective of the iron chelates, especially recommended for soils causing iron to become insoluble. Because of this capacity to improve photosynthesis, Maxiron 80 promotes blooming and better fruit development.
